How do I get the top menu to work like the template?

What am I missing? Can somebody let me know?

In the demo, it has a menu for:
Help Center | Live Chat | Contact Us | Terms and Conditions

You should create a new menu called topmenu , add your menu items.
Go to modules, new module type menu, choose menu as topmenu then for position choose topmenu and bottom of page under menu assignment choose "on all pages". Save & Close.
