K2 Store & GK_mystore issue with template?

I cant get the my K2store to look like the Demo Page, I installed the quickstart and nothing.

Does any one know of a setting that needs to be changed?

I dont see the checkout button next to add to cart in both Category View & Item View. Also in category view My add to cart button shows up before the Category Picture, and it should show after.

You don't have css rules in gk_stuff.css for k2 sotre so it look's that you don't have latest update of template. Please download latest update and override all css files.

Hello, I just did the following to no avail:

1. downloaded the GK_mystore 2.5 template from Gavickpro.

2. Logged in to cpanel and found the template css folder.

3. Deleted the css folder.

4. Now I took the css folder from the downloaded template from here and zipped it with winrar.

5. uploaded the css.zip file to the templates directory.

6. Unzipped it.
When I look at the front end, still no change.

Just something I noticed when inspecting the demo page of GK-Mystore template, when inspecting the code with chrome i noticed a css file named addons.css that is nowhere to be found in my template sfolder css folder. I downloaded the template files yesterday and still could not locate this css file, am I missing something here?

Which joomla version do you use ?

I Use the latest version: joomla 2.5.4 and the template version under the templates menu shows as GK_MyStore 2. 14 Feb 2012 with a thumbnail showing Penguin Mail .

Do I need to install the GK moduals for the template to work correctly?

No quickstart on this particular install. I did do a quickstart on a local machine anf it was the same result, have you had a chance to look at the joomla back end with the new log in i sent you? I also sent you cpanel log in to check out files. I have also uploaded 2 other k2store templetes with the same results, maybe you can check out the settings and templete for me i might have missed something. Thanks for all your help.

Hi, I have checked the front end and still has the same template issue. You can check yourself the Add to Cart block is above the Item Picture block:

when updating files in the future , please check the front end by visiting the url provided so we don't go back and forth confirming if it worked or not.

On a side note I was able to do a quick install of the Quick start Joomla 1.5 version of the template and all seems to function properly. But doing a quick install of the Joomla 2.5 version does not yield the same result for the K2store templating. This leads me to believe that the Joomla 2.5 template is not compatible with K2 and K2store components. Can you confirm this please?

Sorry forgot one thing. Please download template package and copy to html folder com_k2store folder. Should help.

I Updated the whole HTML folder , deleted the old one and re-uploaded the new one, looks better but still having issues.

1. The added k2store folder corrected the image block in catalog view but added some weird button that I assume is show cart button with the following text: TPL_GK_LANG_K2STORE_PRICE_LABEL

The pagenation? is not correctly showing as well. It shows the stroller at the top right of the website , note picture Untitled 1a to Untitled 1b.

On the front page the GK_News pro component is not showing up with the correct template style as it should. It used to show the price Bolded in Red now it looks simple with basic black font instead of the red it should show. Please note Untitled 2a & untitled 2b pictures.

Please override template lang file in language folder, this should help.
For pagination please add " nsp" suffix to module.

Issue 1:
I uploaded the language folder as it was missing for some reason in my templates folder and still nothing.
I also viewed it and did not find any of the following entries, that I thought would be there, there are no K2store reference in the file. I wonder what other entries are missing, can you please check out the files through cpanel and confirm if I am missing any of these or what else am I missing

the following entries were Not found in en-GB.tpl_gk_mystore.ini file:
TPL_GK_LANG_K2STORE_PRICE_LABEL
TPL_GK_LANG_K2STORE_SHOW_CART_BTN

Issue 2:
When you hover the mouse over show cart button, there seems to be a red outline on the text of the button. You can reffer to the following screen shots.

Hello, I have seen that you added the necessary entries to the file in the language folder, but one thing that stands out that you still haven't really answered:

Is the template for Joomla 2.5 compatible with K2 and K2store? Can you please confirm this or just let me know if it is not.

I have installed a quickstart version for Joomla 1.5 here:

if you compare the k2store items to the category layout and item view, you can clearly see that they do not look the same. Template's issues are clearly seen on my main installation of http://www.signetinstruments.com which is a Joomla 2.5 installation.

If the joomla 2.5 template is NOT compatible please let me know so i can move forward with a Joomla 1.5 installation, it gets frustrating to see a product that I have paid membership for clearly not being fixed or even letting us the customer know if it is compatible or not.

I do appreciate all the help I have received but I would appreciate it even more if my question could be answered.

Yes 2.5 version is compatible with k2 and k2 store. Onestly I don't know why you haven't it if you installed quickstart for Joomla 2.5

I installed quickstart for joomla 1.5 not 2.5, I will try installing it for Joomla 2.5 in a sub directory and see how that comes out.

OK I installed the quickstart for joomla 2.5 in a subdirectory, and all seems to be working fine. .... It still leaves me puzzled to why my original installation wouldnt work.


It would have been good to get my original site fixed, but I guess this is the best way. I will just need to delete things I dont need from the quickstart and start over.



One thing i did notice is that the cart position does not work with the K2store cart, the item is added but the count does not increase, is this position only available for the virtualmart extension or should it work for k2store as well?

Did you publish k2 store cart in cart position ?

yes i published it in the cart position and nothing.

Unfortunetly this is only for VirtueMart.

I have another problem, when I click on the show cart, the page redirects to the main page with the cart module in the middle of everything, if I click on the view cart in the k2store cart position on the left the page comes out looking right, with the cart in its own page and not on the main page.

Is there a way to fix this by either redirecting to the proper page (link?) or by changing the button to a check out instead, just like you have it in the demo?

So basically when I click on the show cart button it redirects me to the page with the cart and all of home page content around it.

And when I click on view cart on left it shows the cart correctly.

Can we either change the button to checkout or fix the link for the redirect on the show cart button?

I want this as the link as it seems to fix the issue:

'/component/com_k2store/Itemid,99/view,mycart/'

instead of this:

'index.php?option=com_k2store&view=mycart'

I just dont know where the file is located.

I managed to test it out in chromes firebug like plug in and it seems to work, but I dont know where to find the file to make the changes stick.

Try in \templates\gk_mystore\html\com_k2store\mycart\addtocart.php
