Hi

This is a really odd problem that's just started happening. I have two servers, one live and one backup both running Joomla 1.5.22 and gk_corporate II (version 1.1.1). The site is just run as an internal Intranet.

I normally keep the two in sync by using "AkeebaBackup" to backup and "Kickstart" to restore. Before making any major changes to the site I make sure that both the live and backup are in sync .... just in case! This has worked fine for quite sometime.

When I backed up and restored today I have found that the backup site is not not resizing the menus correctly. Everything else appears to be available (user accounts, articles etc) but the look of the menus is very different and not much use. Not all menu items are displayed along the main menu bar because the menu items are not resizing. The width of the backup site is also thiner. I've backed up and restored the entire site a number of times but the same problem remains.

Attached is an image file showing the two different menu options. Permissions are still correct as I can get to to the menu options that aren't displayed.

Any ideas?

sounds weird, but i would adress such issue to akeeba . . don't see it as a template problem, the backup process..

Hi exlodedk

I did consider the backup but I've been doing the same backup and restore process for months without a problem.

If you've no other suggestions I might just wipe the backup server and start again. I will confirm!

Just to update you on this. The problem still remains but is only on a single host; the "backup" server. The resizing problem doesn't happen on other hosts. So, in summary, the problem is server/host specific and not widespread.

If I ever figure out how to resolve the problem on the individual server/host I will report back.
