The toggle on show main body on front page is set to off
params.ini shows - frontpage=0

The front page still shows the main body position with its CSS in all it's glory

@teitbite thanks for that

I have one incredible simple but dumb question

What is the point of the setting in the template config if it doesn't work?

Presets > Show Main Body on Front Page = Off

Yet I need to hack the template in addition ...

I'm afraid with this solution it will not display either mainbody module position or component on frontpage... and i believe also modules above mainbody. So not a good idea, mate. ;)

The ability to disable mainbody/component on frontpage is great to design layout.
Besides this feature, you can publish any module on mainbody module position (that's a great advantage).
Normally, by disabling the mainbody on other template everything would work great, but in Corporate 2 template (because of the design layout of blocks and modules) you need to populate mainbody module position with a module, if you select to disable mainbody/component on frontpage.

To understand better what i just write, understand that mainbody/component and mainbody module position is completely different things.

The critical thing I discovered is ...

understand that mainbody/component and mainbody module position are completely different things.

May be an added word or two in that setting would resolve some frustration ;)

Thanks gentlemen

So what is the mainbody/component?
It's the block used by joomla to display articles and all components content.

What is mainbody module position?
Like the name says, it's a module position where you can publish any module. So if you disable the mainbody/component and publish a module on mainbody module position, this module will be displayed on the space reserved to mainbody/component.

This stuff was done by us and it's not core joomla stuff.

Don't worry... It's not easy to understand.
If i was in your place, i also would have difficult to see all the picture. ;)

Hi,

It happens to need this too, so is there any other solution other from what teitbite offered to completely disable mainbody?
By the way, I've already tried teitbites solution and its working ok so far without any problems...

Thanx

I think this is really missleading :P

If I disable the mainbody on frontpage then the white background should also disappear :P

Or perhaps I´m wrong?
