Hi

I have just been cleaning up a lot of not wanted articles and have removed all the modules that I will not be using for my page, so that I can get on with setting up the content.

But now a strange module is appearing on the frontpage, as if the mainbody is showing.
The mainbody on frontpage is set to off in the Template options.

I have attached an image showing the "module" and a dump of my actual modules from admin.

What is happening here ?

this has been coveret bout 10 times in this forum. please use the search function...

it's the main body position. if no module posted in mainbody position this white bar will be there.. in the demo it's the "our product" that is featured in the mainbody position.

Is there really no way around this?

It somehow ruins the layout of the frontpage.

there is yea, but u wont be able to use mainpage on other pages... what i would do was to enable a news show in that position and then used inset, right1 and right2 insted of the top 1-2-3-4 as u used now ( see http://test.wessels-dental.dk )

Have placed a Custom module in mainbody at HOME, and also tried a news show Module.

Show mainbody on frontpage is set to off.

Hi

On this template, if the mainbody is disable you must have a module on frontpage published on mainbody module position.
This is necessary.

Cheers

Don't get the point.

Not matter if I have a module in mainbpody, the Show MainBody on FrontPage has no effekt.

Just have to get it right. Is it possible to hide the mainbody on the frontpage or do I have to change my design som something is in the mainbody position?

Hi

I didn't get it or it's somewhere in the pile of the mails without link to the post on the forum. Please wait for Saichinha to investigate the problem and if I'll still be needed send me the ftp login data to [email protected] with the link to this thread as subject.

Thanks Seichinha for the effort, but the conclusion what not what I had hoped for.

Since the Template has an option called "Show MainBody on frontpage" I believed it was possible to remove it ?

I just want you to make it really clear, since one of you says its a bug and the other says its what its made to do :

Is it possible to have it remove the mainbody on the frontpage ?

p.s.

When using NewShowPro GK4 in mainbody the pagination icons gets placed wrong

when using nsp you need to use the suffix class nsp in some way...

take a look at the demo page under template > module variations

Please remember that if you have a module News Show Pro then you have to set suffix nsp for that module - this suffix adds relative positioning to main module container which is necessary for correct module interface positioning.

Believe its down to how your NSP module is setup. If you make a setup like the demo it works kindof, but still the pagination is quite close to the text whicj doesn't look great.

Take a look at http://www.insu.biz/new/

Where I have a setup with Article and Links in mainbody and have used the " nsp" suffix.

It's all wrong

But I have placed an identical copy of the module in Bottom position, and here it gets it right.

My point is just: Mainbody is not well suited for placing modules, there is some sort of bug here ?

Any development in this case ?

Since I'm forced to use mainbody on the frontpage, it would be nice if your modules would work here :)

Hi

Mainbody is strictly for displaing content and I've seen miracles on some pages with lots of templates with content and modules messed together, but if it's only on frontpage than I think it's fine.

I cannot see the pagination. Everything looks fine for me. What is the problem? Maby I could help.

I was just to impatient, so I changed the CCS and managed to place them as I wanted :)

Now my only problem is that I have to live with a white background for one of the modulkes since it is posted in MainBody. Tried to changed it but as expected it changed mainbody on all pages :)
