When can we expect documentation for this template, because I'm pretty lost on making it look like the demo?

Hi

"Like the demo" can be found at Quick Start package of this template. It's an exact copy of demo :)

Maybe I'm doing something wrong but I already tried that. I moved every file within the Quick Start package into my web server and it caused my site to stop working.

I'm sure that the Helpfile will be available soon. Meanwhile, here's a explanation that can help you.
The QuickStart version is very, very useful and easy way to get knowledge to all configurations of the demo.
It's true that the QuickStart version is only for new joomla installations, but for websites with already content included, you can easily install the quickstart version locally on you computer, using a local server. There are several and good free options available on the internet, but i personally recommend XAMMP server.
You can see this video tutorial.
The first part demonstrates how to install the XAMPP local server on your computer.
The second part shows you how to install the quickstart version.

After installation done, you can navigate, explore, test all the extensions configurations, modules positions, menu assignment, exactly as you see in our demo.

Cheers ;)

i uploaded the quickstart package to the server and did the regular setup steps.
as the installation was finished, i deleted the installation folder.
the website is not available, either frontend nor backend. only the error message is shown.
"Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_OBJECT_OPERATOR in ...plugins/system/plg_jamenuparams.php on line 95"

so, how should i uninstall the plugin without access to the admin panel?

please upload the quickstart package to a server and test the installation from that file for your own. you will see.

Cheers ;)

Delete quickstart package from your server and upload 1 more time an then try 1 more time to install this template.

I will try now to install quickstart package on my local server and will replay if any error...

look derKarnich, i have dw Corporate2 Quickstart package and installed on my local server XAMPP and for me is all ok.

So try to dw 1 more time quickstart package and then try to fresh install.

It might be from your PHP version.
Please tell us which PHP version are you using?
If you have inferior version from PHP 5 on your host, ask them to upgrade or try on other server that have PHP 5 support (if possible, of course)

I haven't tried it myself but I did watch the video. It's a great video to watch if you've ever had a problem moving a joomla site. Thanks for the link genius.

Hi

You can use the QuickStart package version, installed on a local server and them you can easily take advanced of all configuration set on the demo.

For local server, i recommend XAMMP - a powerful and very popular tool.

Please see this video tutorial. It uses the example of Pulse template, but the process is the same and also, it shows how to install the XAMPP local server.

Cheers ;)

Can I do this without the local server?

Well, you can install a test website on line using quickstart version.
The other possible way is to have available screenshots of all modules configurations and positions for orientation.

Add this line in .htaccess file

AddType x-mapp-php5 .php

It works for me.

Perhaps, this should be included in documentation somewhere????
