How to remove the joomla logo fro the adress bar

Hi.
I need to remove the joomla logo from the adress bar once you on the site?

Go to: root folder>templates>'template used'

Delete or replace favicon.ico

I tried this and it didn't work.Is there an specific size the favicon.ico need to be?

In my experience with the favicons, after you replace them, erase your browser cache a few times, then it will show right away. or you can also install the component "Cache Cleaner"

which is positioned in your backend admin panel and really helpful when you want to see your site changes right away.
