I am having an issue with the menu display on within the "Home" section.

The easiest way to explain is to view this link: http://thatotherbook.com/

You will see "About Us" and "Our Blog"
Click "About Us"
vertical bar between the two submenu items is now gone.
Click "Our Blog"
vertical bar on the right of Our Blog is gone

Also, ou will notice in the breadcrumbs, Two "Home" links appear.

I have not edited any html, this is a fresh install.

Any ideas?

The double home in the breadcrumbs, is because the link you're using is a child of the parent home menu option.

[home]
|
[home] - [blog] results in home > home > blog

Hmmmm, I think I know what you mean but could you explain it another way maybe? I have it set up just like other sections menu items.

I can try and explain it another way here goes...

Remember the first home is common to the breadcrumb!

[International] < parent
|
[Disasters] < child result Home > International > Disasters

(common)Home > parent > child

When you place a child menu group below the home menu, you're creating a child of the parent 'home'. When you see it in the breadcrumbs, you see the common home then the parent 'home' followed by the child.

Hope that makes a bit more sense now.

Ok, I understand now and I thought that was what you were getting at. The only problem is I do not see how I can set it up properly. As you can see below, I have the links setup but unsure why it reacts differently here then in the other sections. How else would I approach this?

I have included an image of the setup I have now.

I am still learning Joomla and templates so you can ignore the above I guess. I just reinstalled everything from scratch and noticed the exact same thing happens on all Home menu sub links. I then checked the demo here and the same thing happens.

So I guess my question would be, and it was probably already answered I just need to take a different approach, do I need to set up a "section" but not have it visible so that the sublinks will display properly without a double home showing?

I'm not sure what you mean by having the section hidden. At some point the client needs access to the menu option, so the parent menu will show in the breadcrumbs - you can't hide the parent.

Here are some easy solutions...

Go to module manager and find the breadcrumb module.

The first option is whether to display or not display home on the breadcrumb. Alternatively you can change the word used or change the name of the parent from home to something else.

Hopefully one of those will sort the issue out.
