Icki sports - thumbnails aren't working !!

Hi my name is jon I am
working on a football fans website called stockportinsider and I have a problem with the icki sports template. I've uploaded it through QuickStart and when I write a new
post the thumbnails don't seem to appear on the news gk module but the writing does ! I've taken the site down as I'm uploading again tomorrow however I have tried uploading the template many times now and it's still the same I wonder if I need to turn something on/off or is there some code missing please please help as I need this sorting beofre I can go any further ! I look forward to seeing your replys! Thankyou.

P.s has this happend to anyone else ?

They also don't appear in the main content area (white area) but they do on the must see module ! Please help !!

Are You using some module to show the article. If Yes please maby try to use it without styling the image (module should do it for You).

Sorry I don't know what you meant it's just the QuickStart package which I have uploaded ! I add an article and the thumbnails don't show on the gk news module or the main component (white space) which is also a module ! Please help!!

Please check if you have "Use only plugin images" enable on the module.
If so, disable it.

if you look on the right hand side of the site, you will see the tabs module i have added a new post and there is no thumbnail there ! the same applies to the mainbody component there is no thumbnail !

i have disabled the "Use only plugin images" as ive been asked to do, however there is still no change and i need help with this really quickly

Well, there are 2 things to explain here.

The problem was on "use plugin support" and "use only plugin" parameters. They were both enable... but, i already notice that there a bug that our programmer must fix.
The problem is that when we enable plugin support, the article that don't have image from photoslide, should display default image article.
This is an error and i'm sure that our programmer will release soon an update version or will have this in consideration on the News Show Pro GK2 (yeap... you see well )

For now, i recommend that you disable the use of plugin support, upgrade News Show Pro version also... and by the way, you joomla is 1.5.14. Not good, upgrade to 1.5.17.

This is no good, i need it fixing ! i cant wait for this and the programmer to release an update !! i need help with this.

Ah i see and there is an error to the file you sent me is it possible for you to sort it out for me im fairly new to joomla and have no clue to what im doing as if you will see i have now messed up my site big time - http://ww.stockportinsider.com/ - please please help me and how long will it be until this is all sorted and fixed ? thanks

In this issue, i'm sorry but it's not in my hands.
This is for our Lead Programmer to fix.

Anyway, this will not delay your website development. Till this fix is done, use default article image only on News Show Pro module.
When the update version is release, you only need to replace the respective files via FTP.

Hi, is there any news on the bug fix yet ? also my site wouldnt work at all i could access the back end but the front page wouldnt work it came up with 500 server error so i have had to upload again !

I recommend to use only images which comes from article introtext, because the newest version of News Show Pro GK4 supports only this way to generate thumbnails and I'm sure that you will want to migrate to this version - if you're using News Show Pro GK1 with Photoslide you will have to move also all your images to articles.

Is the issue fixed with th bug yet becasue its been 2 weeks now and i really need to get the website up and running and may need to change provider although i dont want to as gavik produce the best templates, please please help me !!!!

Hi, im not using icki sports anymore im using world news ! however i have posts on my site with another theme on at the moment ! i want to know how do i still keep my posts and upload quickstart package and then put articles back on ? thanks

Not very easy to do.
If you use the quickstart version, it will overrule your content.

Suggestion:
Install a local server into your computer (XAMPP for example), make a TWN quickstart installation locally and now you can check any configurations used on the demo, module positions, etc and them reflect them on your live site.

I have a problem with the world news template ! when i upload quickstart it uploads everything apart from i have attached a file to show you ! becasue it doesnt show these 3 mods and only 2. I have tried to go into the module page and see if theyre not enabled but they are and there on the right setting !

Also when i look at my site on my iphone i see the posts etc that are missing but i dont see them on the computer ! im just uploading quickstart package again to see if it will fix this, Thanks

Please be sure if every permissions on caches directories are set wright. Please also try after clearing cache.

Ive found it the other mods dont work with firefox they should so tho as the other parts of the site are the same etc ! please help me

yes, its ICKI SPORTS ! ive been really wanting to use this theme for a very very long time ! but last time i tried to use it i had problem with it!

The thumbnails wouldnt show up ! which was really annoying as i couldnt use the theme

so one of the moderators from the gavick forum (here) said yes there is a bug ! so he reported it but nothing has been done about it and im very upset ! as i really want to use that theme as it is such high standard !

please help me !!
