Adding a table

Hello, I m using the pulse template and i was trying to remove the search on top right corner and replace it with some picture and then add another table under it and put another picture in that box.

My other question is, i was wondering how/where to edit the images and the text. Say the W705 Sony style and the image and the text over there, do i have to try to find it from the css tables and replace with what i want or there is a part in admin part that i can reach and change?

I m sorry i m kinda new to joomla and i m more of a coding person.

This can be achive with disabling search module and than use this position for mod_custom with Your needs. Probably some css changes will be required to show it right.
