User Panel logout broken

I've added a module which integrates Facebook login with the standard Joomla login.
It works great but for one problem, it doesn't log you out once you are logged in.
In the User Panel that drops down in Pulse 2 buttons are now shown, a facebook logout and the standard Joomla logout button.
Clicking the FB button just logs your out of FB not Joomla.
Clicking the J logout button refreshes the screen but you remain logged in.

I took this up with the developer of the module and he says it's the template code thats at fault.
