New to Joomla

Hi there, I'm new to Joomla and just started configuring the finance template on my domain. How can I make my template looks like the one you guys have on gavick website, I mean, with the slides running and pics etc..........

hey lima, welcome to gavick

the easiest way is to download the quickstart package. it contain the template, joomla and all demo data as the demo page has. i will always recommend this way to all that is new to joomla cause you see how it is all set up and can disable and enable modules as you want ...

Thanks for your reply. I did what you said but the results were the same I first had when installing joomla and uploading the finance template.

I´m sorry if i did not explained myself clearly enough, what I need is some steps or tutorial to how to configure the finance template to look like the one you have on the demo section of gavick.com.

I don´t know how to enable the slides and stuff like the right sidebar etc....

I already installed the slides components and plugins, but did not find how to make it appear on the home page...............

Actually I don´t even know if that is the module I really need.

hey I was reading about the template and I found many things I didn´t know about.
SO now I installed the components ( PhotoSlide Gk3 and the Module GK Image Show ) but when I try to add an slide I get this message. SLIDE_HAS_NOT_BEEN_ADDED

Tried bmp and jpeg images. None of them worked. and where do I enable the slide to show up at the home page. Thanks again...........

Please be sure that You have set a permissions to all directories inside components/com_gk3_photoslide to 757.

If You want to have Your template exacly like on the demo site please use a Quickstart version. It's an exact copy of the demo.
