Image Scroller

Has anyone found an image scroller which works with Gavick Templates ?

Their use of MooTools rendered every jquery script I was using useless.

I am looking for a simple image scroller which I use for advertisers/sponsors on our website. Image needs to scroll across sceen, auto start, and be clickable to that companies URL.

Gavick Technical Support has been completely unhelpful so I'm turning to the Gavick Community to see if anyone has found an extension which works.

im not sure what it is you search that gavick image show or news show pro can't do for you...

take a look at pixellove, how the header works. that's a gk news show showing only images and title... everything is highly customizable...

ImageShow and News only display a single picture.. they are sliders, not scrollers.

I need to scroll a collection of images across the page.

You can do the same effect with News Show Pro GK4 with auto animation.
With NSP you can display several images, each one related to joomla!, K2 or VM content.

Paul, I have been unable to configure nsp to do this. I have 27 sponsor logos, I created a slide for each of them, scaled it to 110x 80, the size I need the images to scroll. I can get them to lay out individually and slide from one to the next (like a rotation) or in a block, I can't make them scroll.

Here's the trick:

You can use News Show Pro GK4 module (not image show) like this:

First you need to create some articles (each one to each sponsor logo) and inside place only 1 image with size that you want to display and with link to sponsor page. Set all this pages on one category like "Sponsors".

Them on NSP GK4 parameters:
- Select "Sporsors" category source
- Set the amount of row, columns and pages to display (i.e. 1 row, 5 columns and 2 pages = 10 sponsors)
- Enable only to display image and if you want the header too.
- Disable "Clean (X)HTML" option (this will bring the link that you provide on the image to sponsor)
- Enable "Autoanimation", Animation speed and Animation interval.

This should do the job.
