Creating and installing a quickstar packege

I have installed akeeba back up in my joomla installation. I successfully backed up and downloaded the backup. I uploaded the backup file and the quickstar.php file and opened the link (mysite.com/quickstar.php) but there it does pick up or recognize the backup (it gives the message "No archives detected. Click here for troubleshooting instructions." ).
The back up file has the extension .bin (on the example on your web site shows extension .jpa), I don't know if that is the problem. How can I fix the problem.

Do You mean how to unpack a file made with Akeeba Backup ? I think You should be asking that to Akeeba developers, but since I'm using this extension a lot I may have a look into it.

For start You will need "kickstart", i'm not sure if "quickstart" is a typo or You are using wrong script. ".jpa" format is fine, kickstart should be unpacking it, but if it's not doing that than make sure file is correctly uploaded to same directory as kickstart.php and if the file isn't broken.
