Just a hint to expand the subjects that you had so far!

Could you present the visual concept of the front page?

It should have the template for:
classifieds
events
city news
directory/listing

Gavick Team should go all out from this traditional templates which many other clubs are making, yeah have themes related to daily activities, like a good news portal, which is really god, TWN was good but it lacks many things, one suggested above is another good example, like classifieds, one for directory listing will be great, [...] had these themes, but now they have the worst crappy designs, there should be job portals, property portals, classified portals, and many such subjects, Hope Gavick team looks into these theme and create templates based on this, for sure you will get more members. Another theme would be night club themes.

I have to support that. TWN was great and even by umber of downloads you guys should think about updating this one to T3 framework and with support Jomsocial and K2 so that would fill the gaps for city portal.

As to the topic I'm working on City Site using TWN

Have a look www.mygalway.ie

Would be great to have support for components like calendar (J Events )
also you could think about J Reviews as its a great component or at least bring support for that component in GK News Pro
