Hi,

I've been away from Joomla for a while. Now I have to upgrade a e-commerce website that is using Joomla 1.5, Virtuemart 2.0, and a gavick template.

I manage to update the Virtuemart up to Virtuemart 2.6 first, and then up to Virtuemart 3.x (well, transfer the products information, at least). It's running on Joomla 2.5, but I have to upgrade Joomla too since support for 2.5 is ending in the end of the month.

But what really surprised me is when I came to Gavick.com, and noticed that there is not a single e-commerce solution for Joomla 3 and Virtuemart 3.

Did I get it wrong, or in order to keep using a gavick template in an E-commerce store, I'll have to use a Joomla version that will no longer be supported, in less than 2 weeks? I'm not sure what you mean by that information.

Why is there no support for Virtuemart 3 on your templates?

The work is in progress... eCommerce Joomla templates compatible with J3.x and VM3.x will be released mid January.
Support is ending as new templates but since new templates will be released we will provide the help on the forum.

Ok, but what will happen if I update to Joomla 3, and keep Virtuemart 2.6?

The templates that have this information Image

will work in the Joomla website, but styles created for VM products /categories /etc will not work. Is that it?

No, from what I know VM2.6 will not work with Joomla 3.x.
