Hello,
For a band I'm building a website using the Music State template, which works pretty fine so far.. Even since I'm still a Joomla-noob so far. Now I was looking for a cool way to add a Events Calendar section to the website. Tried DP Calendar, but looks and feels ugly as hell hahaha...
Now I was checking that new University Template and it showed exactly what I was looking for! Can I apply this "custom modified K2 / News Show Pro combi module" to my "Music State" based site? Even displaying data from the DP Calendar component..? If yes, how should I start?
Thanks in advance!

Hello,

The portal mode in the NSP GK5 module uses the custom HTML data from the article described here: (event info) http://demo.gavick.com/joomla25/univers ... e-features

Hello Dziudek, thank you for your reply.
I'm sorry I'm quite new to this and to Joomla at all actually. I'm trying to find my way to learn and understand these things, but for me at this point the terminology at this point is on a level I'm not yet familiar with.

Can I (is it possible to) use the K2 component as an event scheduler - so that my client easily can submit new events? I think it's basically a matter of adding new data fields to an article like "date, time, venue/location, info url" and stuff like that..

The description you redirected me to, explains how to add the Event info table to the description, using the html code structure. Do I need to do this on html level for every single event entry or is it possible to make this fields more generic? I'm sorry again for the noob-like question...

Thanks in advance for your time, attention and support.

You can use the custom fields for it too, but please remember that then you will have to style these fields by yourself in order to achieve the proper look.
