Hi,

I have recently installed the InStyle template on an already existing website because of its e-commerce facility. It seems though that I am not able to make use of this, I am not even close to getting the functionalities and appearance of the online shop from your demo Instyle site. I have also separately istalled Virtuemarket and it's still not working. Can you help me with this?

And another question: it's there a limit for the number of slides to be upladed on the Image Show GK4 module? I'm asking this since it seems that if I uploaded more than 10 images, the slideshow wouldn't work properly anymore.

Thank you!

The amount of slides in Image Show is not limited, maybe this is just kind of image loading problem. The best way is to use quickstart if you want to reproduce all modules on the website but please note that every single module configuration is available in our documentation. You can also check all template settings, please just look here » inStyle Configuration – GavickPro Documentation

Thanks, I did try to follow all the instructions from your documentation, but I do not seem to get the right configuration for the Virtuemart modules. With the others, I think I am on the right track. I installed separately Virtuemart, just to be able to access it. I have had an already installed joomla template working before installing InStyle, therefore I was not able to use the quickstart package. I probably did something wrong, it's just that I do not know what.

What do you mean by an image loading problem with the Image Show? With more than 10 slides loaded, everything goes crazy - the images are showed in a vertical structure, they are showed altogether, the animation is strange. I am new at this, so if you could just bear with me...

I think that the best way will be to use quickstart, did you try to install this package? There are many modules in template and also external components like VirtueMart and K2 so if you are new at this it will be the easiest for you. Tutorial is very simple, you just install package like default Joomla without any additional steps or details but you will get template like on our demo website.

It was the first thing that I tried, installing the quickstart package, but it's not working. I have Virtuemart and K2 already installed. And my frustration is getting higher and higher, since my choice for the InStyle template and, thus, this subscription, was due to its e-commerce facility, which is the only one that I am actually not able to make use of.

There is no easier way that just review all configuration fields one by one if you want to achieve the same layout like on our demo server. Where exactly do you have problem with quickstart package? I can help you with installation but please tell me which step cause problem » https://www.gavick.com/documentation/jo ... oomla-1-6/

I appreciate you trying to help me, but as I told you, I had an already running website with another Joomla template, therefore I can not start from the scratch and lose all my existing content. I tried a manual installation, I installed the template via the Extension Manager, I followed all your configuration tips, I also installed the available extensions...Everything else is fine, I migrated all the existing content, but the online shop does not work, it does not show the product description, the available product pictures or even the add to cart button. Everything stops at the product categories level.

Maybe this is VirtueMart version issue, which version of VirtueMart do you use?

Ok so firstly I need to know which module configuration or template part cause any problems for you. Could you show me particular pages and just tell what is wrong there?

This should be my one of the pages of my online shop: http://www.lerevedumichou.ro/index.php/ ... u/2/skirts. But it doesn't work as it should. The product description page, with the add-to-cart button and everything can not be accessed. But I have discovered that I can access that page for each product if I used a News Show ProGk5 module with Virtuemart categories - why is that? As for the moment the shop is not working, I only have 2 products added in the Dresses category and one in Skirts category.

But this is K2 view yes? So how you want to skip from K2 to VIrtueMart? Did you add VirtueMart products?

Yes, I have 3 products added so far...I am afraid I do not get what you mean by wanting to skip from K2 to Virtuemart..

I think that there is a problem with understand how the demo website is created - we use core VirtueMart views like VM category view, VirtueMart product view etc. In your installation I don't see nowhere VirtueMart but only K2 which is a separate extension. Please provide me URL to product page so I'll be able what is wrong there.

http://www.lerevedumichou.ro/index.php/ ... temid=9999

I do have Virtuemart category module on the sidebar, while the shop-online uses Virtuemart front page. I do have K2 installed, but I did not use it here, at least not intentionally...my main problem is not that I do not get the view from your demo website, but that I am not able to get the online-shop working at all... unfortunately, as this is my first attempt in configurating a joomla template, I must admit that I am in a dead point

Or should I address this question on the Virtuemart forum?

You said that you don't use K2 but the provided URL was to the K2 view… Could you disable SEF URL's and provide me URL which redirect me to VirtueMart product view? I'm unable to find out how to display any product on your site. Are you sure that in VirtueMart configuration the template is selected to inStyle?

But how do I do that? Disable SEF URL's? This is my problem also, I can not see my products on the frontend

And it is the InStyle template selected in Virtuemart configuration, of that I am sure

I did it, I disabled SEF URLs, but wouldn't this affect my website being shown in search results?

Now I can access the product details page, thank you for the hint!!! But I seem to have another problem: only one of four products added is shown! Why could this happen? To be more precise, I have so far 4 products added in 3 different categories, but only one product is shown

...and the add to cart button is not working anymore, although it used to, before disabling SEF URLs

Could you finally provide me this URL so I'll be able to see it? Where you see only 3 products? In which view? Do you use before VirtueMart?

I think I may have solved the add-to-cart issue, I deactivated the modal pop-up and I am now able to add products to cart. But since I disabled the SEF URL's, none of my links are working. How can I have them work again and still be able to access my products details pages (which are now available only when the SEF URL's are deactivated)?

When SEF is disable it is impossible to loose URLs to products, they just look different but that's all. I see product page without any problems, for example this one » Skirts : Long taffeta skirt

Yes, as I also said, now with the SEF disabled, I can see all my product details pages, but I discovered that none of the links I use within my website are no longer working - I just get redirected to the home page. Since this has happened since I disabled the SEF URLs, I imagined that they are connected. Why could this have happened and what can I do to have the links properly working?

Another issue - I have used the 'gk-cart' CSS class for the 'shopping cart' menu item (in the topnav) and I get a strange look - 'shopping cart (0</head>)' (for an empty cart) - what can I do to change that and get the simple '(0)' as in your demo website?

I think that this is related with your server and mod_rewrite. Please try to disable mod_rewrite in global Joomla! settings and contact with your hosting for more details.

It is already disabled...

So this issue may be caused by SEF URL's or some external SEF plugin. Template don't change anything with URL's. Please also make sure that cache is totally disabled.
