Hi, I am using gamenews template for Joomla 2.5 and I've changed the analytics code because Google has provided a new code due to new Universal Analytics. So in the template settings I have written the code UA-XXXXXXXX but now it doesn't appear anymore in the source code if I control it with a tool like Firebug. Must I write the Javascript code somewhere too or the ID is enough ? I don't remember how I did it the first time.
Thanks for help.

Thanks, I have read the guide and think I am going to install an extension. But Gavick should update the template because Universal Analytics is no more in Beta version and it is going to be compulsory.

Hi, I have searched for an extension but I didn't find a lot of customers reviews so I wonder if it's not possible to "override" template settings. I'd like to know if it's not possible for me to add the javascript analytics directly into helper.social.php file located in templates/gk_gamenews/lib/framework. If it's possible could you please tell me where exactly. Thanks.

Hi, so I add the javascript in this file in "doctype html" and in head section, is it correct ?

In most cases google advises to insert code in <head> ... </head> section , or before </body> .
