I was just testing the mobile menu on the site I am building and I discovered that while the icon show up OK, it doesn't work.

More precisely, on a mobile phone it shows up but doesn't work and on a browser it displays and has a weird construct to the side that looks like it's expanding but it doesn't.
I have seen the same issue on another company's template once and we weren't able to fix it.

I hope we can fix it here.

Better than my explanation, simply go here: http://seogarden.com/lll and reduce the width of your template until the menu switches to the mobile version.

You'll see that instead of the drop down window there is a very narrow aborted window. I know from experience that with a bit of CSS I can make that window expand a bit, but back when this happened before I wasn't able to fix it where it would work on a phone. and barely worked on a desktop browser.

Incidentally, if I load the template minus the override.css file it does exactly the same thing and I made no other changes to the template. The only other thing I did was to create some styles, but this is happening in every style.

Hi, thank you for looking into this. I just clicked the link in my post and it took me straight to the site. The only thing is that I deleted the code in the custom css fdile so it looks a bit funky but I did that so that you could see it without my code messing things around.

the url is

http://seogarden.com/lll

I put it in its own line so it may work better. In any event the site is on one of my testing domains the doamin is seogarden.com and the subdirectory is /lll (3 lowercase L) try typing it and let me know if you can access it.

I also just tried from my wife's computer and I asked a friend outside my network to check. He can see it fine.

let me know how it goes

It seems you are using some 3rd party plugins that just messes up with the code. Currently I cant event found why exactly mobile menu doesn't work. I would suggest to undo all changes you have made from the quickstart installation point and recreate them step by step, checking after each step if everything is fine on the site.
Probably you might want to start from scratch again, as this might be the easiest solution.

Ok, what I'll do is to install a quick start and then start loading the same plugins and I am using in the main site. If it is just a matter of deactivating a plugin starting from scratch may be too much of a hassle.

Or I could try to deactivate 1/2 the plugins and then the other half and see what happens.

Very likely your hunch is correct because it would explain why in the other site I also had the same issue.

Incidentally, I don't use many plugins. JCE, NoNumber and Akeeba are the ones I use the most.

It would be really bad if it was any of them because I really use them a lot, especially JCE and Akeeba.

But maybe I can contact the developer and set up a staging site for them to see why there is this issue.

Thank you again.

Try Akeeba first ;)

I am rebuilding the site and I am just at the step where I installed Akeeba. So far the mobile menu is still working. I already installed JCE and most of the stuff I use on the damaged site. In fact., I just installed Hikashop after akeeba and the only thing I have left is the NoNumber "c;ear cache and Modules anywhere, which I need for another issue I have. Maybe those are the culprit. I'll keep you posted in case someone else has the same issue.
