Hey there, may be I'm wrong here.
But I recently uploaded the game theme and experimented with it for quite a while. Now I found a bug that I cannot explain: I cannot change any options in System -> Configuration. When I change them and click on save the original settings occur again. Is there any solution for that?

Thanks
Dennis

Hi,
if we talk about Global configuration - saving problems , this problem with file rights.

If you are using J25 : Check here: Site --> System Information --> Directory Permissions
- all marked as green ?
In particular, configuration.php, hmm ?
If not, use FTP and change file permissions.

If using Joomla 3.x, there is actually a bug that has not been worked out. In which case, when you save a configuration, it appears to "Not Save". To resolve this, you usually just have to save it a second time and it will hold. Such as "Setting Site Offline". Sometimes when you select yes and save, when the page reloads it's back on no. Simply press yes again, and save again and it will properly set configuration. Why this has not been addressed yet i'm not sure, but probably because it's not a "Major Bug".... If it still fails to save, then it's probably a permission setting with your files and directories....

Thanks for your answer. I'm using the newest 3.2. All files are marked green.

Your trick to save the settings twice didn't work. The permission settings seem to be ok. May be this problem will be solved with the next release. Thanks!

1) So add to this file rights to 666 and then save settings.
2) If won't help -- you have to set settings manually inside file or .... ask your hosting provider why you can not edit files online.
3) Joomla 3.2 is still buggy -- for example yesterday during saving edited before override.css file cleaned all content inside, I was very upset.
That's why I still use J2.5

3.2 is buggy – that's the problem. Alright, I will have to wait for the next update.

Have a nice weekend!
