Joomla solution to have a website like weasyl.com?

Hi guys,


I would like to have a website like https://www.weasyl.com/ , where users can share their work, have their own profile focused on that purpose and interact in a separate forum.

Do you think theres any solution in Joomla that would help me achieve that purpose? i thought a forum system might, but which? better yet would be to have an extensions that would be easily adapted to do this. Any of you have a hint for me?

right now there are ONLY three ready solutions which may help:
1) EasySocial
2) JomSocial
3) Community Builder

they all have : profiles for users and allows add images and comments under images

I´ll check those extensions.
They allow to showoff the users uploads on a single place? like homepage or the sorts?
i would also like to have a live chat....

About social network components few info:
EasySocial - it's very young component from Nov 2013, but it has very good developer team, Unfortunately, there is still little modules to it.
JomSocial - very popular component , it was build few years ago, and still is developed, and for him they are over 100 add-ons (modules/plugins) for it.

In both of them, users can upload images and create albums.

CB - hmm, was great before JomSocial era came.

you can also use gallery component which allows users to add images in profiles & comments under images.
I know one solution which maybe useful: DatsoGallery

So basicaly this is a choice between jomsocial and easysocial. I checked JomSocial and it looks great, not sure if its able to do what i am looking for.

I need people to have profiles in order for them to keep record of their submissions and comments, etc. so i guess that social extension is a must have.

So probably JomSocial will be the best choice, especially there are lot's of module's for it.
And also Chat window. I suggest to use J2.5 - since Joomla 3.5 long term is not ready yet.
