Hi everyone,
from one day to the other i had problems installing some of the gavick templates. Now after two days of testdriving
the whole procedure i found out a few problems that might occur and that i could read here in the forums at the
proper thread for the SOCIAL and the SIMPLICITY templates.\
So my hints might also work on other templates, but i have not tested this out! Here are my hints

1. TRY OUT DIFFERENT BROWSERS !
I tried to install a template via Chrome. Everything worked great.
I then tried to install the same template via Firefox and it hung on Install step 2 resulting in an animation loop.
There are several threads about this loop. But as said: with chrome all perfect while on firefox stuck.

2. Check that your latest PHP and MySQL versions love eath other!
This sounds strange but this is what happend to me:
2.1. I created a mysql database
2.2. I copied the whole template to my server
2.3. Because my host informed me, i changed my php version from 5.1 to 5.5
2.4. I started the installation procdure
After Install Step 3, the install procedure could only install two dozens of tables in my DB and then got back to Install step3.
It took me three days to get the idea of creating a new database - and voila: installation went perfect!

3. No summary with step 3 ? ignore it!
I copied a whole template to my server and started the install procedure.
At step three, where i am informed about the server recommendations no information was shown.
I tried for hours to find a solution, until CyberEK from the forums was so kind to help out in a thread.
He offers a view.html file that you can overwrite within the installation folder.
But: on an other install, i did not copied that proper file and just clicked the install button.
The strange thig: installation went perfect!

You should always keep in mind that what the people at GAVICK are offering is at the end a very high
complex content management system. We are talking about the Joomla CMS and a hand full of modules
and plugins that have to work together and need the proper system requirements to work.

Thanks again CyberEK for the support and i hope to be of help to some of you.

Thanks for info,
as you see the problem is not always connected with our solutions but with support of browsers. especially in the case of J! 3.x.
What is "funny" we don't touch Joomla installer files except new database and one file for installing sample database
