Gavick templates an suffix modules

A lot of joomla templates uses suffix modules in their "demo content".

I've understood this with suffix it's a way to add custom CSS and do a lot of things, like;

Disable content:

My Q:
Could anyone explain for a newbie; What is the purpose of the separate "suffix modules" used in the "demo content"? For example; Suffix " pagetitle" in the template "simplicity". It stands "Suffix " pagetitle" on the header module position" when I look in the module, which is a custom HTML-module.

I thought — if I wanted to customize a module placed in the header module position — I should add a space and a new CSS-name (e.g. ' mycss') in a modules field "Module Class Suffix" and then use the CSS-override in the template to assign the 'mycss' some new desiered attributes.

So please; could someone explain how these "modules" hooks in and what they do?

Our suffixes are kind of predefined styles which you may use. If you want to customise module with your own rules adding mycss and then code to override.css is the best way.

The last part I think understand (in the module add "space" and a new css-id, and add the specific attributes for that new css-id) but I still do not understand what the "suffix"-modules do?

In the example given (simplicity, module ´Suffix " pagetitle"´ = ID:201) it just contains the text ' "Suffix " pagetitle"on the header module position" ' as content.
Is this whole module just for bringing the information that You could use the suffic 'pagetitle' if You want to achieve the look of the demotemplate?

So, does this module anything? ..or is it just for information?
(Sorry if I have problem to describe my question..)

The module is just a information about suffix and how you can change the module layout using this suffix.
