Hi.
We uses phpBB® forum script and customized by us Metro Blue theme.
But If you like joomla component you can use Agora Pro but only Kunena have strong community.

p.s
Other solution is to use forum-bridges which allows you to integrate popular forum scripts like phpBB 3 or vBulletin into Joomla.
