<pre></pre> tags not working

Anything placed between these tags doesn't show as the code but what the code is seeking to achieve.

Shows the image

No editor enabled

What settings are causing this to happen?

Do you remember that you should put in the pre/code tags the entites?

I.e.:

Code: Select all

< - should be changed to &lt;
> - should be changed to &gt;
& - should be changed to &amp;
