Putting site on facebook

I know it must be simple but for some reason I can't seem to upload an image to this thing. That being said, I can't post an image so I am going to try to explain...

When anyone puts a website into a facebook status update, or through a message, a picture of the site comes up as well as some text.

For my personal one, it looks like this is the link that pops up with the picture: http://www.makeupstarr.me/?view=featured

How can I change this to a picture I want and text I want?

Og:Tags works on article pages and k2 articles - image is either first image in article or selected image in k2 article. To have og:tags on other pages, please search for additional plugin that will add support for og:tags to all pages. Then You will be able to set image, title and description common for all other pages.
Also you will need to use facebook debugger:
https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug
- put there your site address to clear facebook cache. Till that, facebook will use old info.

When you page don't have OG tags it is detected automatically. Please try to use our Open Graph plugin >> http://www.gavick.com/magazine/developer-update-13.html

Just realized you were talking about basically the same thing but I don't know where to download the one from gavick.

Plugin is in download section of template in _rest_files package (on gavick.com site).

This works except for the picture part. How do I change the picture on facebook?

Image source is generated based on first image in article or Joomla! standarized article image/K2 image.

I unpublished all my articles. And in the k2 section, the image that shows on facebook has been erased and replaced with new images.

Could you give me some more steps in the directions so I can try again?

Please remember that facebook uses a cache for once added pages - please use this tool: https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug to clear that cache (you have to put an URL of the page with wrong image).

Inferred Property: The 'og:url' property should be explicitly provided, even if a value can be inferred from other tags.
og:image should be larger: Provided og:image is not big enough. Please use an image that's at least 200x200 px. Image 'http://www.makeupstarr.me/images/demo/creativity_blog.jpg' will be used instead.

I still don't know how to change this image.

Please remember that our Open Graph plugin supports only com_content items, for the rest items there is provided a standard image from the template settings.
