Image Show gk4 not working. Can't add new slide

When i go into the module for image slide show it won't allow me to create a new slide. When i click on Create New Slide, it does nothing. I've tried in mozila, chrome, and safari.

I am using Joomla 3.0 and the latest store box template.

There is no screenshot in your post.
1) Have you used QucikStart?
2) Please try to update your module if you have old version.
3) Have you installed any other plugin/admin template etc. - maybe there is a JS conflict.

p.s.
I had installed Quickstart few moments ago, added new slide for Image Show GK4 and it works.
Remember to click [Save] button 2x times first after adding slide, then to save settings at the top.

Thanks for the quick reply. I did update image slide show gk 4 and still no dice. I did use the quickstart to install. This is a brand new install so no other modules have been installed except for what came with quickstart.

The screenshot was just a pic of the backend of the module manager where is says Add New Slide, but when i click on it nothing happens.

I had the same issue, and it turned out that magic quotes was turned on in my php.ini file. Once i disabled magic quotes and re-installed image show it worked. Hope that helps.

I can confirm that southpaw3229's solution also worked for me, I had migrated the site from local dev to live, the live server had magic quotes enabled. Simply turning it off does not work, the module will need uninstalling and re-installing after magic quotes has been turned off.

had the same problem too on Firefox. I tried internet explorer and it is showing everything.

This maybe problem with server settings --> http://www.gavick.com/documentation/joo ... -show-gk4/
Because it works for almost all websites.
If not ... use another slideshow module
or send me URL
or maybe firefox addons block it ?

I am also having problems with Image Show
When I install the Image Show Module, it works on my website for about one minute, and then when I refresh, the whole site goes blank.
What should I do?

1) Disable module and refresh and check if "blank page" will appear again
2) If you are sure this is fault of module, you have to disable caching for it.
3) or Unfortunately, you have to use a different module.

I looked at the documentation and it says turn off magic quotes but how do I get to magic quotes? Where is it at? How do I get to it?

Ask your hosting provider to to change it.
But first you can check here:
Joomla 2.5 -> Site --> System Information --> PHP Settings

Ok I found it... yes they are on... so I need to ask go daddy to turn them off?

In most cases you should:
1) Uninstall module completely
2) Install again new version
3) Set and try again

if he still want to cooperate with your hosting, sorry you have to use different image slider module.
Sometimes it's the easiest way.

try whot other browser, in chrome dont work but in firefox sork fine,shit happens
