One thing more. Can you give me an example or describe more what you want to achieve ? How this module should show up becasue now if it is published is half of template width and I guess it isn't effect which you would like to have.

ok thanks for the nice reply ,,here's what i am trying to do :

1 / publish JOMSOCIAL HELLO ME module in the left top of the page ,,,,,the same like it is on Facebook in the left Top << as an example ,,,not trying to copy <<,,,i want to like add some modules and put them on after on the left Top ,,in JOMSOCIAL PAGE
2 / later after the first step,,i'll unpublish the Main Menu and create new positions in the template just for the Menu and Put them Main Menu on different Position << this step could be optional <<

If Iunderstand you correctly you just try publish modules in 'left' position. One by one.

Unfortunetly template positions won't work in your case becasue you want to add module on jomsocial page. So you will need to add new module position in jomsocial in left of main column. Here you have info about module positions and guide how add new module position in jomsocial template http://documentation.jomsocial.com/wiki ... _Positions
Code: Select all
Adding Your Own Module Position
You can add your module position name and insert it anywhere within any JomSocial template files. The Code Snippet that does this is:

<?php $this->renderModules( 'yourModulePositionName' ); ?>

Template files you can find in com_community/templates/gk_style
