I would like to know why a Pinterest link button appears on my website as this option is on OFF in the templates settings.

1) Which version of template and Joomla you're using?
2) Disable Joomla cache for a while, clean the cached resources (administrator/index.php?option=com_cache) and refresh webpage. If wont help write again.

I'm using Joomla 2.5.9 and gamenews template.
The pinterest button doesn't appear all time. I can see it when I follow a link to a subdomain then when I comeback on the website the pinterest button is here, but not before following the link.
I have cleaned the cache but the problem is still the same.

Now I see only one solution, disable all social buttons from template settings, and install
