Redirect home after user activation

Hi!

I have put so many hours to this issue and I just give up.

I'm using Joomla 2.5 and the template "startup" with a multilanguage site (DE, EN, IT)

First, how can I redirect the users to the language home page afte registering, while they wait for their activation e-mail.

Second, after clicking on the link of the activation, and logging in I want them redirected to home and not to the user profile page. (user-profile/profile)

After reading for hours, everything related to redirect, I just can not get it to work at all https://www.gavick.com/forums/search.html?keywords=redirect+registration

Will some one help me please!! My client wants to go online this weekend and this is an issue she wants resolve.

I think You should create a menu item with register page type, than in it's settings You will be able to specifie the redirections. I may be wrong, so plase check it and if it's not right please send me an access to Your joomla panel.

I do have a menu option for each language, but I don't have the possibility to specify the redirection. I can only do menu association.

Sorry, but I do not know an answer to that. I was thinking that maybe registration works the same way as login and when a login type for menu item is selected than a redirection link can be set for login and logout. Unfortunately don't. I need to send You to joomla forum with this issue. It's not related with our products but joomla itself.
