Hy there,

I want to redirect links from my old website joomla 1.5 to my new website joomla 2.5 The old site is indexed in google and i don't want to lose the search position. The old site is on domain and the new website is on subdomain. It is posible to move the new website from the subdomain to domain and keep my search position in google.

Hi,

Sorry but in my opinion it is senseless, because it will need very big amount of .htaccess redirects which should be created probably manually. Additionally, please remember that Google analyzes redirects and redirects have negative influence for the links, so you can loose your position even with redirects.

The best option is to put my new website from subdomain to domain without redirects. Thank you very much for advice
