a question about the gk module & the fonts

hello guys
* i have a problem with GK Jomsocial Members ,,as you can see here in the screenshot,,i tried my best to make it work out,, but i just made it worse,,in the screen-shot ,,the avatar of members was messed up then i messed it up more when you check my website now www.thetalentedsociety.com, could you please help me guide me to fix this & make all avatar look the same,,i did try everything in the module but nothing worked out,,,

* i noticed that when i use Internet explorer ,,i see my Main Menu Fonts different than when i am on FireFox ,Google Chrome ,Opera ,,i wonder if i can change only the font of the Main Menu ,,i am trying to make it all look like its appearing on Internet Explorer ,,is there any plugin to change fonts,,,any modification i need to do ,,and excuse me guys,,i do not have any kind of experience working on sites,,so could you please guide me,,show me how to make my Main Menu Font look better as a first step for more working on my website appearance ,,looking forward for you reply

Please go to GK JS Members module and try setting Avatar size to "150".

About the font on IE i don't see any difference.

Here's some observations:

From what i could saw, there's a plugin that is effecting the GK JS Members performance, but it's not a very important issue.

If you use more than one GK JS Members module, don't forget to add unique module ID to each one.

Try to release some weight on page loading. it's too much slow. If it takes too much time, Users may feel discouraged to visit the pages of your website.

Also i found some problems on joomla cache... i wonder if "Clean cache" plugin is working right.

On JS avatars i recommend that you impose pre-defined dimensions or else each one will have different sizes and it will not look so good in design terms.

thats what i am working on now,,,i am trying to make the loading page faster ,,,i enabled Joomla cache again and i keep reading & learning more from a such great people like you with your precious advices ,,i am trying now to work on the front page ,,make it faster ,,,by the way if you don't mind me asking you ,,,do you know by any chance how to add a splash page as a front page ,,what i mean here is i want to have a splash page where people can choose their language to enter ,, and thanks again for the quick & highly professional response

Joomla! doesn't allows this option as initial page, but you might add language switcher module on frontpage or after the user logins in, he can set his default language.

Well... there might be another option.

Here's the idea:
You can use some popup box plugin (search on JED - Joomla Extensions Directory) that will display some module position with a custom module type where you display custom option url's that will redirect user. It might have some difficult level but not impossible.

thank you so much ,,i just did what you told and i am about to add a custom module to allow users to switch to their mother tongue language ,,,
i have been trying to speed up my page a little bit ,,but i kinda failed so far ,,,the page is still slow,,i tried to use CSS COMPRESSION in MUSIC CITY template but it did mess up the Jomsocial Page,,,any ideas ,tips,advices to fix this one,,,i seriously took your observations and i am trying to reduce the loading page time , speed it up aswell ,,,because i think its one of the causes that my website is still getting low traffic ,,,i'll really appreciate if you at least suggest me some nice extensions that may help me speeding up the page without messing up the template
