Cache

Hi There,
I have read your documentation about setting the GKCache and have read through you forum posts about cache's, but am still confused as to exactly what cache system is best as it isn't explained properly in the documentation. In one post someone says conservative cache should be enabled then conservative cache shouldn't, should the Joomla cache be set at all? System cache no???
Can you explain EXACTLY which cache's should be enable and which should not please.
