1. Please follow this thread about adding topbar https://www.gavick.com/forums/viewtopic ... 02&t=19166 it's a custom request so I cannot help more than this

2. Sidebar is available with every responsive template already. Unfortunately adding it to a non-responsive template is more like making a new template at all. So, possible, but very hard to do.

3. Joomla 3.0 is not out yet, so I'll be able to tell something more about it then I see it.
