about updating templates

hello
i would like to know if my template will change in case i update it ? because i see that the updating file got the same size as my current template ,,i am trying to update the template before i update my jomsocial from 2.6 to 2.6.2

my question is resolved by me

When you update template by overriding files via ftp connection your configuration should be saved. To make sure you can always use build in template 'Configuration manager' and save your working copy. Size of packages can be the same because sometimes update of JomSocial brings small changes in CSS and layouts. If you use 'Search' option you will find several topics about updating templates and similar to your questions.

thanks a lot for your reply ,,,, i did see other posts ,,but i posted mine because i wasnt sure about if there is a follow in updating << between JOMSOCIAL & GAVICKPRO << ,,, and i really needed a quick answer ,,at least 24 or 48 hours not 96 or 100 hours ,,i was just giving my opinion not less or more ,,and once again thanks for the reply ,,much of luv & respect
