Problem: Doubleposting and updating the mainpage

Hi there!

I have two problems:
1) Regardless whether I am using "single article" or "blog list" or whatever, when an article is displayed, it is displayed twice. The whole thing looks like Image

This is only the case for the template: World News 2, which I am using, the other templates work fine.

I am using Joomla 2.5.2, Database Version 5.0.91-log, PHP Version 5.3.8

2) For a short period of time I want to display only a single article on the "home". Therefore I am using "single article" as type, but nothing changes! It is still the old featured articles als main page. I resetet the cage of course. I think it maybe the language switcher, dunno. I am using 3 different languages.

(for some reason i cannot edit the former post, so sorry for 'double postin' :))

Okay, regarding problem 1) I found out the following:
it seems, that the content is posted twice, because the template 'thinks' that I am on a desktop pc AND a mobile platform. So the first post originates from <gavern:desktop> and the second one from <gavern:mobile> in the default.php in the html content folders. At least it isn there anymore if I delete the whole mobile thingie. But how do I fix it properly?

I am deleting the whole mobile part of my default.php in /templates/ html / com_content / article /

but nothing changes.... it is the same :-/

more ideas ?
