Hello,
just noticed the new backend "feature" in Gavern 3 framework. Call me nuts or picky... but this sliding-in and out is really annoying.

It makes no real sense, except you shrink the browser window to the absolute minimum. Only then, it needs to slide out. Not on each and every mouse-hover!

Please, could you turn this off? Or make it simply "float" above the left info area? i.e. move it always with the browser window. 8-) :?:

Thanks for listening.

This option is necessary to avoid styling problems in our configuration tabs, when the screen resolution (or browser window) is in proper size you shouldn't see 'sliding' effect.

"Proper Size" depends...
I am working on a real big screen! And usually you end-up with a "normal" width like the most webpages minimum.

We all know, the left side of J! template style window is wasting space. Not your fault.

Nothing against a wider right panel! But it should stay fixed in the needed minimum width. Without this animation effect. Its really eye-distracting, IMHO.

Why not give the parameter-panel the fixed/minimum width?
If browser window gets smaller... just shift it to the left? Maybe above the left panel.

PS: Regarding wasted space, The detailed information area would be great for a mini "module-positions" overview. Maybe also "module styles". That would have a real benefit.

I've opened admin panel on 1920x1080 - don't have this effect, and also on 1440x900px resolution where it is necessary. Maybe there is some bug in this script in your case, what resolution you have ?

I am using a 27inch iMac.

Safari & FF
I can resize the browser as much as i can, the right panel is always about 420px in width.
The left panel stretches automaticly.

Chrome
Right panel is about 620px in width.
Rollover is almost NOT recognizable! 4 - 5px ?!
In a very small window, the right panel does not slide over the left side. It stays in the default margin.

As i mentioned before, the whole concept is needless IMHO... in general, and because of too much browser hassles. Please, change it to a simple and compatible solution.

For reference and much better:

- GK module parameters!! (it just works ;-) )
- Joomla initial Admin screen with icons on left and sliders/tabs on right side.
