k2 2.5.5 problem

Hi,
I have a problem. I upload k2 to 2.5.5 and I am not able to change and save. I got the message:

unfortunately I couldn't find any answer in many forums. I decide to install new quicstart2.5 and it help. I tried upload joomla 1.7 to 2.5 but it didn't work. Now I have new problem with font. there are too big and it looks like popular problem in this new template2.5. I am waiting for help.

P.S. If you have no choice you can try off plugin "Smart Search K2" in yor Joomla 1.7 but I think it just temporary solution.

Smart Search is a feature in joomla 2.5 > so needed file is not available in joomla 1.7 that is why you are seeing that error.

So you should disable any smart feature in other components or modules if you are using joomla 1.7.

I have the same problem.
If I have corectly understood the only way to solve it is to update Joomla from 1.7 to 2.5? Right?

As suggested if you are using joomla 1.7 and k2 2.5.5 go to joomla admin > Extensions > Plugin Manager > Disable "Smart Search - K2" plugin.
