Auto manage old articles

Hi all,

I was wondering if anybody knows an extension to automatically manage old posts. This should be configurable to filter categories and subcategories and allow to automatically remove articles from front page, or even archive those articles that would become obsolete withing certain time.

I know that you can do this manually on each article, but my "wish" is to have this done automatically.

Sorry. When I'm asked for that I'm always using joomla (or K2) publishing options and showing only couple most recent articles using modules like News Show Pro GK4. NSP got an option to show articles from past number of days, so this may come handy too.
