Links not working after joomla 2.5 upgrade

Hi, i have just upgraded my joomla website to joomla 2.5 and there is no link working in the front end. I found this: http://forum.joomla.org/viewtopic.php?p=2727544
I altered what was necessary but still not response on menus, titles or any other links

I temporarily solved that by putting comments to the line:

/*#gkPopupOverlay { width: 100%; height: 100%; position: fixed; z-index:1000001; top:0; left:0; background:#000; opacity:0.3; filter:alpha(opacity=33); margin-left:0; }*/

How important is to comment that line? does it affect the website functionality?

However the search module does not work 100%

Hi,
1) you should update your template downloading the template dedicated to the 2.5 version

Or

2) if you have customized your template, just copy the file gkscript.js using the file inserted into the 2.5 package. The problem should be on this file.

This solution works for me, i had updated to Joomla 2.5 and i had also installed the Joomla 2.5 version of the World News 2 Template. But still all my links were not clickable. But as i commented the above line, it started working.

Also the search works for me.

I am also wondering how important is that line and how it will effect my site?

The template scripts which show/hide popup area are updated to mootools library included in Joomla 2.5, so it shouldn't be a source of problem, we've tested our template and don't notice any of this problems. Did you change anything in template styling ?
