Where to find general information on templates

I am new to Gavick and working with The World News 2. Problem is I cant find any documentation on the structure of the template. I am using the quick install and pulling it apart to learn. I found a module with a suffix of "dark" which saves a lot of time and am looking to find out what similar features are built into the template. I am also trying to add a shadow to the main body such as this example; (http://www.lovemydress.net/). Have been able to add a background image to create the shadow but it is clipped to the edge of the main body thus not showing the shadow. I cant give you a link as I am working on a localhost. Thanks for your help.

Please look at our demo site (demo.gavick.com) and there in main menu you can always find menu item called 'module variations' which present suffixes, 'module positions' - with template positions and typography.
