HI,
I use k2 2.5.x and nsp gk4 2.9: how can I see the default image when in the item there aren’t images?
I read in your wiki:
All thumbnails are stored in a module cache/ catalog. Additionally, if a given article does not have images, default images default.MOD_ID.png from default/ catalog can be loaded, where MOD_ID is an ID of our module, e.g. newsprol.

I add an image in modules/mod_news_pro_gk4/cache/default and rename the .png image "default.newspro1" but this solution in not available, can you explain me where I wrong? thanks.

The thumbnails are generated automatically by module code, please make sure that you turn on options called 'use K2 images' in NSP thumbnails settings.

thanks for your reply,

I have already turn on option called 'use K2 images' in NSP thumbnails settings.

(look at my configuration's image); the images from K2 items are view correctly, only when in the article there aren't images in NSP GK4 don't show the default image. :(

I used NSP GK4 in a lot of sites (with Joomla 1.5 and Joomla 1.7) but I never see the "default images" .... what I wrong?????

Please check module directory permissions, especially /cache catalog. If everything is ok (set to 755) please send me ftp details/admin data to bkrztuk.gk[at]gmail.com with forum topic in title.

I believe this could or should be catalog as bug, several posts and no solution... or maybe I just nonsense..?

Hello, after many months I did not have a solution for this problem. :?

I tried using the module for Joomla 1.5 and Joomla 2.5 but does not work and the problem is the same..

@megacanal says there are similar modules with easy backend selector for custom image in the article if there is no picture ....

I think that if you can fix this bug NSP is the most complete module!

pleaseeee :)

Hi

Yes that's a good idea to design an upload for default image for whole module. I'll pass this to programmers. The the old method works. Using "default.newspro1.jpg" works for me, I've just checked it.

Hi, In the end I solved!!!!! :)

The problem was in the write in your Wiki "...All thumbnails are stored in a module cache/ catalog. Additionally, if a given article does not have images, default images default.MOD_ID.png from default/ catalog can be loaded, where MOD_ID is an ID of our module, e.g. newsprol."

The image must be renamed without .
e.g. defaultnewspro1.png

don't forget some important settings:
- Automatic module ID: OFF
- Module ID: newspro1.png (or whichever you prefer)
- Create thumbnails: ON

NOW WORK!!!!!! :woohoo:
