Is it ok to change template folder name?

I was wondering if it was safe to change the templates folder name? I am using musicity. Would i have to change it in other places?

I've not do that in a while, I sort of like to give Gavick their props. But if your going to do it start with templateDetails.xml I'm sure there are other places but like I said it's been a while and the framework has changed a few times over.
