That's a small issue that we will fix tomorrow morning before releasing the files.
We are too much tired. Too much hours.
Tomorrow is another day.
Great work as always but....the switch button to desktop version if you use iphone doesn't work. This happen also for other template as Pixellove. Please try to fix it.majo1 wrote:Seichinha wrote:majo1 wrote:great template! I like it. But why the padding in menu item "modules menu"? - title of column

???? in 2010 was released 12 template. Have a look here:markan wrote:By the way December Template was never released. So does that mean I get one extra month free to my subscription?

However I have an issue with this. Joomla 1.7 is unstable and I use 1.5 as do many developers.
There aren't many modules and components readily available for 1.7.
You guys are releasing templates that many developers can't use because you are only making 1.7 versions.
Come on.
When will the 1.5 version be ready? Thanks.
I'm agree too...about the Gavick choice. I cannot start a new project with 1.5! I just want to remember to all of you guys, that Joomla project will not give any support to 1.5 version starting January 2012, so the choice of Gavick to start the new project with the J1.7 version instead the 1.5 version is plausible. I just want to suggest to Gavick team to continue to release the J1.5 version up to December 2011.gonzoyid wrote:markan wrote:The Template looks good, as always.

Joomla 1.7 unstable
For the last 3 days I have been working on a J1.7 site and it's been an absolute pleasure, every J1.6/J1.7 extension I have tried with it has worked fine and the amount of good extensions that are J1.5 only is becoming smaller by the day. The time has come to move way from J1.5,I certainly won't be using it for any new builds and I can assure you that J1.7 is very stable.
Hi guys, I just want to report to you that with GREEN color the top menu remain in blue color. Is it correct?Seichinha wrote:Thank you
Our programmer will look at this issue first thing in the morning
Businesses wrote:Thank you for the quick answer.. I am disappointed that the 1.5 version will not be available for around 3 more weeks. 1.5 is the joomla version for 1000's of people, some of whom do not want to move to 1.7. Some have complex existing websites and or want to use extensions that are only for 1.5 .. I suspect that ignoring most of your customers will prove costly. For developers a 1.5 template is what is needed now as they do not want to have to teach staff and customers how to work a new version. Bad move !
Just one question. If you start a new project will you use Joomla 1.5? I don't think so because Joomla 1.5 will dead as happen with the 1.0 version. I know that many people are still using the 1.0 version but do you really want to start a new project knowing that Joomla project will not offer you any security release starting January 2012? I know that the version 1.7 is a short term release and that in January will be released a new version, but starting from the 1.6 release you can update to 1.7, 1.8 and so on in 1 click. The real problem is the migration from 1.5 to 1.6, so my opinion is that you guys should start to think to migrate your old website to 1.7 or 1.8 (long term release) in January and start to use the 1.7 version for your new project. Why? Starting from the 1.6, Joomla project will release a new version every 6 months. From my perspective, start a new project using the 1.5 version is a suicide. Starting from January 2012, the security of all Joomla 1.5 site will be a problem as the joomla project will not give anymore support.markan wrote:I have been using Joomla since 2007 for clients, and have been a member of Gavick since 2008. I have never used another resource since. For the main reason that after comparing Gavick and other template companies Gavick templates had the least BUGS in their releases with Joomla 1.5.xx
I still do think that Gavick is still the best of the lot without a doubt. The third party plugins, components, and modules of other developers work great with Gavick, even the ones I have developed for myself.
There are great and unique components and modules out there that I still use for clients that have not been ported to Joomla 1.6 or 1.7 and some will never be and are not compatible with the new Joomla.
Where does that leave websites that are built around these components and modules if they upgrade to 1.7?
That being said. When Gavick started to go the way of Joomla 1.6 and started to port most of their templates to 1.6 I decided I would try to follow and trust the Gavick Team.
However I found many BUGS and compatibility issues where some of these templates were just unusable in a live site. Thus my current subscription is becoming of less value each day, and I have to spend 60 percent of my programming time trying to fix Gavick code and bugs by myself as support is slow and sometimes one never gets and answer to important issues and they are just ignored.
I have tested most of the Quick Start 1.6 Template Joomla versions, and the errors and bugs are many.
I am not complaining, I am just pointing out the facts.
Cheers.
