I've installed the quickstart package but seems you have included Joomla 1.7.0 instead 1.7.1.

@chromerep - it is a bug in the redshop component not in the template.

@direttasport24 - yes, you're right - our small mistake during quickstart preparation - I've just uploaded package with J!1.7.1. Thanks for this report

Great work on the documentation. Seeing redShop in use is one thing, having the information on how to get ours looking that nice is KEY.

Another question:
As i installed it to test - why the quickstart template is not configured at all?
It is not looking as the demo version - i had to configure again the slideshow, the menu links are not the same etc.

Any clue?

Did you clicked on the install sample data content button during the installation? If yes - please reinstall the quickstart without clicking it.

yes i clicked it as i wanted the sample data installed.
i will give it a try, but cannot see the logic in this...

In general this button shouldn't be available - I've forgot to change two installator files - sorry for my mistake - now I'm uploading the correct quickstart with Joomla! 1.7.1 and proper installation flow.

I didn'tclick it and it works fine for me. Try this:

1) Clean your database
2) copy via ftp only the installation folder
3) Launch again the installation

Never used it before, but people really seem to like it. I was an avid supporter of Tienda but they've still not done anything for 1.6/1.7

VM just seems dead.

Hi all, I'm new to Gavick and the forum so please forgive me if I've overlooked something. I just downloaded the Boutique template and installed it on my dev server. I've followed the instructions provided with the screenshots. The problem is with configuring RedSHOP. All the templates in the instructions have not been provided in the download. I have created the templates provided by copying the content into newly created templates inside RedSHOP. In the configuration steps shown in screen1.png, you say to choose gk_product template under "Default Product template" but there is no gk_product template in the download nor in the quickstart files. Can you please provide the file or point me to it? Thanks for your help on this.

I´ve dowloaded the Boutique Store template (not the Quickstart) and installed it. But the fonts that is in the demo is not on my site. How do I change the fonts to the one that is in the demo?

gk_boutique_quickstart_J!17.zip . I tried to install the package over five times and always find errors. installation phase does not appear "install sample data", I think they have to review this package.

In Joomla 1.7 the params of template are stored in DB so if you want an excatly reply of gavick demo you should install the quickstart package or you can create a test environment and install the quickstart package. Then you should copy the setting template of test environment to your template installed previously.

@juanpiggee - all templates are in the rest_files package. You can also use the quickstart package where all is configured.

@oparenti - this button is unnecessary - sample data are installed automatically.

Mr.dziudek, I tried installing several times, but at the end of the installation when you want to preview the site I do not see anything and I get HTTP 500 error. I have in my PC APPSERV with 20 different Joomla installations without any problems.

I had also the same problem (Error 500) when I tried to login in administrator. Solved retyping the correct password to login.

@dziudek I went ahead and set up the quickstart and found the templates there. It was NOT in the rest_files zip file. You may want to check the latest update files. Now I have an issue with Image Show GK4 not showing the header image. I have set up everything as it is in the quickstart and when I view the homepage I get the edge of the image showing in the far left of the page. See image below. It is published in header1 with the clear suffix. I've tried no suffix, changing the image and/or image size, all with the same result. If I publish it in position "Top" then it will show the image. I'm going to see if I have any issues using the top position for this project, but I'd really like to know how to get it working as demonstrated. Thanks.
