user positions 1 and 2 don't work in safari only

I have set up website with this Corporate template and I am very happy with it except it looks awful in Safari browsers.

Doesn't matter what i put in those positions it won't display properly in Safari. I have attached screen shots showing what i mean.

This is urgent so any help greatly appreciated
