upgrade the news2 from 1.7 to 2.5

how do i upgrade news2 template to 2.5. i have installed the quick-start package for 1.7 and setup my site. there is a lot of content. i don't want to lose my content.

Firstly you should update Joomla! to latest version, secondly you need to download latest template (from our download section) and overwrite all files via ftp connection - that's all.

which files go where? all the files in one folder. how to i update template??
