Hello,
I'd like if there is any good commented documentation on how to customize the Meet Gavern joomla template. I've just started building my corporate web site and my first issues are:
- How can I modify the header size?
- Where are the modules? When I wanted to find the header module, I couldn't find it under Extensions>Module Manager, even trying to add a new module. I had to create the Header module using a custom html module with a code I found somewhere.
These are my starting issues, I'm sure more will arise when I continue building the site.
Thanks!

Hi,
I am responsible for the documentation page, I'm still trying to add something new in our "Customization" section --> http://www.gavick.com/documentation/cat ... -template/

If you would read them you should learn how to use Firebug tool, which could help you in first question-problem.

About second question,
Where are the modules?

please read this one: http://www.gavick.com/documentation/gen ... templates/

But also this one: http://www.gavick.com/documentation/joo ... 0-layouts/

As you see Meet Gavern have modern layout which allows you to add modules from back-end (template configuration) not by modification of php files, like was before.

p.s.
I will try to upgrade our WIKI soon, maybe in next few days, because as I see it is worth. :ugeek:

Thanks Pawel. I'll have a look. In the meantime, how can I remove the copyright? I had installed and tweaked the template before purchasing it, so I'd like not to re-update everything.
Cheers!

Hello,
I'm having some problems to find modules. For example, I'm looking for the Top or the Social modules, but I cannot find them anywhere, so I'm not able to use them. They are not in the Extensions > Module Manager and when I try to add new modules they are not there. Could you please point out how to find these modules?

Hello Pawel,
Could you please help me? A cannot find some modules such as the top or social modules on the Extensions > Module Manager. There I only find 3 modules, Breadcrumbs, Main Menu and the Login module. Even when I try to try to add new module I cannot find yours. I'd really like you to help me, as I need to continue designing my web. Sorry if this is a naive question, I'm quite new to Joomla. If you need I can create a user for you so you can check what's happening.
Thanks,

Dani

Sorry for delay,
could you add screenshot about which position are you looking?
Because I'm not sure that all positions you was thinking are REAL joomla module positions.

But about social buttons on the right side ---> "social"

By default this template has such a positions:

Code: Select all

debug
 menu
 social
 search
 header
 top
 breadcrumb
 sidebar
 mainbody
 mainbody_top
 mainbody_bottom
 bottom
 footer
 login
 usermenu

Hello,
I attach a screenshot of the main page. For example, I'd like to edit the module below the Header, which has Innocom in black letters on it. Which module is it? Then, about other modules such as the "social" buttons I don't see where the module is on the module manager to enable or add it.
Cheers,

Dani

Hello,
Could you please help me on the previous issue? Also, I'm trying to set up the Social API following the guidelines here:
http://www.gavick.com/documentation/joomla-templates/gavern-framework/gavern-framework-social-api/
I have the keys but I don't know where I have to input them as there is no basic operations tab anywhere.
Cheers,

Dani

Ok, I see but if you know a Joomla little you should know that you can add new modules. Use (+)New - green button, than select a Module Type.
