Removing Meet Gavern "Based on Bootstrap" Content

Hi,

I'm trying to remove the "Based on Bootstrap" section on the frontpage of Meet Gavern to create a more static, simple frontpage. However, whenever I disable the "Based on Bootstrap" module, the frontpage populates with all of the content articles. How can I remove the "Based on Bootsrap" section entirely, WITHOUT it being replace by anything. In other words, I basically want to collapse the entire "Based on Bootsrap" section and have the footer located DIRECTLY below the grey banner that stretches across the frontpage. I can't seem to figure out how to do this, though it seems like it should be fairly simple.

Unfortunately the only way is loading the blank module on the mainbody module position on the frontpage.
